RICH ORGANIC COMPOST

Our compost is made from 100% organic material. It comes from your garden, lawn and yard waste. It consists of a proper mix of green and brown materials, which include leaves, grass clippings, landscape trimmings, brush and garden waste. The material is ground and put into windrows. The windrows are turned frequently maintaining temperatures at recommended levels. After approximately six months in the biodegradation process, the material is transformed into dark humus with a pleasant earthy aroma. It is then processed through a one-half inch screen thereby eliminating large pieces of wood and any plastic. The material is then stockpiled and ready for sale. Finished compost is a dark brown, soil-like material with a sweet or musty aroma.

Charges are based on loosely loaded yard debris. Fees are calculated by the cubic yard. We recommend that you not place your yard waste in plastic bags. If you choose to bring the yard trimmings in plastic bags you will be required to empty the bag of its contents in the appropriate location and keep your plastic bag. Plastic is not compostable and is an ongoing problem with our machinery.
